Why we don't track your mood
Navigate has no mood log, no streaks, no scores and no weekly report. That is a deliberate clinical decision, not a missing feature. Here is the reasoning, so you can hold us to it.
Measuring a feeling changes it
Rating your day out of ten asks you to step outside the day and grade it. For someone already caught in self-monitoring, that is another loop to be caught in. The moment a number exists, it invites comparison with yesterday's number, and a low one starts to read as a personal failure rather than a Tuesday.
We would rather you spent that attention on the thing that actually helps: two minutes of slower breathing, or feeling your feet on the floor.
Absence is not a failure signal
Not opening an app for three weeks usually means life was fine, or life was too much. Neither is our business, and neither earns a notification. We do not send reminders designed to pull you back, we do not count consecutive days and there is nothing to break.
Regulation tools should be available, not obligatory. If Navigate helped once and you never return, it did its job.
What we do instead
The check-in asks how you are right now for exactly one purpose: to suggest tools likely to suit that state, then get out of the way. It is not stored as a history for you to review, and it is not a diary.
After a tool you can optionally say whether it helped. That answer shapes what gets suggested to you on this device, and nothing else. You can skip it every time.
If your therapist shared a link with you
Nothing is reported back to them. They cannot see whether you opened it, how long you stayed or how often you returned. There is no completion tick and no adherence dashboard, because a tool that reports on you is a tool you would reasonably stop trusting.
You do not need an account, and you will never be shown a price.
What would have to change for this to stop being true
We would have to start selling something that requires your data, and we do not intend to. Navigate is paid for by practitioners who buy professional tools. The core regulation tools stay free, and the people using them are not the product.
Client adherence tracking, completion monitoring and emotional profiling are out of scope at every tier, stated in our terms rather than only in a blog post. If you ever see Navigate do any of it, we have broken our word and we would want to hear about it.
Built on a no harm, no pressure ethos.
